Senior year is such an exciting time! And I’m so glad you’re considering me for your senior photos. Whether you’re counting down the days to graduation or your mom is reminding you it’s time to book, you probably have a few questions.
This post has answers to the most common ones I get from seniors and parents. Let’s make your session simple, fun, and stress-free!
The short answer: sooner is better! I recommend booking your session about a month in advance, but I’m usually pretty flexible and can get people in. Fall is one of my busiest times for photos, so my calendar fills up quickly towards the end of summer and early fall.
I’ll help you pick the perfect spot! Some places I like to do pictures at are Boyd Park, Banbury Place, Big Falls, and downtown Eau Claire. I’m always open to your ideas, too.
Most sessions last 60 to 90 minutes. That gives us time for a few outfit changes and different locations. I rarely keep an eye on the time. We will keep going until you feel we have all the shots you want.
Wear something that feels like you. Most seniors bring 2–3 looks to mix things up. Here is an article that will help give you some ideas.
If the weather’s bad, we’ll reschedule. I always watch the forecast and stay in touch so you’re never left guessing. If it ends up being a hot and humid day, we can also reschedule. Who wants pictures when you are sweating?
Yes! I offer high-quality prints, canvases, and custom products like graduation announcements and albums right through your gallery. You’re also welcome to print your images elsewhere, but I always recommend using professional labs for the best quality.
You’ll receive an online gallery with your edited photos within about 2–3 weeks of your session. From there, you can download your images, order prints, and share with family and friends. It’s super easy—and I’m always here if you need help with anything.
I truly believe that your senior session should feel like you. I take a relaxed, fun approach—no stiff posing or awkward moments. I’ll guide you through the whole session, help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, and capture genuine moments you’ll actually want to hang on the wall.
You are not alone! Most seniors feel a little unsure at first, but I promise, I’ll guide you every step of the way. I’ll tell you where to look, what to do with your hands, and we’ll keep things easy and natural. You don’t need any experience—just bring your smile and trust the process.
If you’ve made it this far, I hope you’re feeling a little more prepared and a lot more excited. Senior year is such a big milestone, and I’d love to help you document it in a way that feels authentic to you.
